Yes our syrup is organic, however we are not certified by any agency. We follow all the guidelines for organic maple production and we have even added a forest stewardship category (see our page on low impact production). Our syrup production is chemical free from start to finish.
Organic certification is costly, time consuming and the amount of records required (in my opinion) is ridiculous.
In a nutshell raw maple syrup is pure maple syrup with all the minerals and nutrients that were present when the sap was collected from the tree. It tastes the same and looks the same but will have a cloudy rather than clear appearance. It is produced the same exact way as all pure maple syrup, the only difference is we do not filter out the deposits of minerals before the syrup is packaged.
